OVERVIEW
This course is designed to provide students with a broad and well-rounded education in the humanities and social sciences. This course is also suitable for students who have an interest in subjects such as literature, history, geography, sociology, and languages. In the General Arts and Languages course, students typically study a combination of subjects including literature, French, Spanish, or any other modern language, history, geography, government, and elective subjects such as economics, sociology, or philosophy. The aim of the course is to develop students’ critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills, as well as their cultural awareness and appreciation. Students in the General Arts and Languages course may have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, such as reading and analysing literary texts, writing essays and reports, engaging in debates and discussions, and learning a new language. They may also have the opportunity to participate in cultural events, field trips, and extracurricular activities related to the humanities and social sciences.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
